Between league fees and ice time you're already paying thousands of dollars. Add the cost of new equipment in and the game we love quickly becomes cost prohibitive. That's what GetEquipped aims to solve: Reducing both the financial burden of hockey equipment and the barrier of entry to the game.

I come from a hockey family, and the sport has always been at the heart of our home and our community. My brother and I been skating since I was 3 and have played recreationally and competitively at different levels since then. We love the game. But it was up to my parents to support our journeys through hockey with their time and hard earned money. Looking back now, I’m grateful beyond words for the sacrifices they made to provide the equipment we needed as we grew.

What happened to that equipment after we outgrew it? For the most part, it sat in the basement collecting dust. All that money spent on new items only to be outgrown 6 months later. Let's call it what it is: expensive. With GetEquipped my goal is to provide a safe marketplace where hockey parents can sell their kid's used equipment and use that money to pay for the new equipment they need while putting some money back in their pockets.
